As many of you likely already know, G is our resident theologian. She's always saying something brilliant about God and God's love for us. I really ought to keep a notepad handy at all times, because she's always saying something terribly profound. Here is my best recollection of her prayer before supper tonight:
O God,
We love you.
You gave us the plants.
You made us the flowers.
You water them happily.
If you love God,
you will see everything.
We love you, God.
Amen.
Insightful, thought-provoking, and perfect evidence of how kids get God. And sadly, most adults spend their lives un-learning God. But that's a sermon for another day.
