Miscellaneous

Sorry to report that the Great Cope Campout of 2010 still has not happened.  We tried.  Well, some of us more than others.  With all the hair pulling, hitting, 'woobie' stealing and whatnot, the campout ended at 10:00.  (sigh)  Maybe next time.

Below are pics of the intended set-up.  I got those tubes and cubes from our neighbor at the most recent cul-de-sac yard sale.  (Yes, I end up netting out at $0 because I buy all their stuff...)  I had intended to give them to the girls at Christmas, but I stashed them in a good, secure, secret spot - and promptly forgot about them.  (I do seem to take after Grandma Duck.)  At least I found them before the girls turned 20.

The tile was finished on Monday.  It looks *fantastic*!!!  The dry wall will be completed this week, and Uncle Jimmy will be back on Thursday to work on the faux chimney.

Last but not least, the most recent snowstorm provided a chance for some good family bonding.  We headed out in the snow after dinner, made a few snow angels in the cul-de-sac (can you see mine?  I got up completely soaked!), romped around the neighborhood, played Red Light Green Light, shook snow off the bushes and trees, and laughed at Beckett plowing his face in the snow.  It was a really fantastic night.  And Grace was careful to stay hydrated.
