Nina and I had a fantastic morning together. It was one of those moments when I was deeply aware of how sacred our time together really is.
She woke up in a cheerful mood, which is always a wonderful surprise -- an a rather rare one at that. As the morning progressed, she seemed to be as pleased to be the center of my attention as I was hers. We took delight in drinking orange juice, watching Dora save Diego, put Nina's soft pants on with a skirt on top, and don our butterfly wings and dance around the den. (She just might have a future as a dance instructor!) We bundled up and played outside, despite the chilly wind. We watched the geese, stomped on crunchy branches, mastered Grace's scooter, and got Nina's first 3rd birthday card from the mail lady. The hardest part of our morning was picking out which jelly bean we'd each get as a potty reward.
Thank you, Nina, for a wonderful, wonder-filled morning. I love you. (And for the record, I still think you're a bigger Goofpot than I am!)
